BIM Modeling

Building Information Models that show valuable surface design information for grading surfaces and underground systems in 3D to identify conflicts before construction begins.

BIM to GPS

Move BIM information to your 3D GPS System for the job site.

We offer BIM services to build 3-dimensional models that can identify surface and utility conflicts before construction begins, while we include detailed plans, redline plans and transmittals standard with our models, we can also deliver information for your FHWA EDC-6 requirements. This can be used to build detailed digital asbuilts that contain metadata, 3D information and data links for construction details and materials used in construction. We can provide information to you for RFI’s when needed, based on our experience of working on both sides of construction modeling and building projects. We have experience with the smallest of projects to some of the largest, with a background in Highways, Subdivisions, Commercial Sites and Private Projects, these include Grading, Paving, Utilities, Footings and Structural Modeling.

BIM Modeling can include materials from your original estimates, to accurately track all materials throughout the project, whether these are paving, utilities or structural materials. This information can be used to build accurate subgrade models for paving, footings and or trenches. (See our Machine Control page for more details on how to leverage this power into your models.)

The BIM Model can be built with complex data to foresee constructability problems before construction begins. This can be surface problems relating to geometry design, surface flow, surface smoothness for highways, drainage issues and ADA requirements. For utility or structural designs below the surface, Building Information Models (BIM) can be used to identify conflicts through collision detection. The best part of all is by using this information to build a entirely new utility system, or integrate a new system into an existing utility system, BIM can help resolve many potential problems before construction begins, both lowering construction cost and speeding up the construction process.

BIM can allow the design to be refined ahead of time by using design information with previous asbuilt information and information collected from a site. Once completed this information can be turned into useful, high value data that can be downloaded into today’s technology and used in the field, in a way that can give operators and crew true situational awareness of the seen and unseen at a level, that not long ago was out of reach or impossible.
